I believe that it is important that people know what you stand for in politics and in all of my time in Parliament since 1992 I have tried to be honest about my views on any issue. That's why my personal opinions are on this site, not the latest official press releases. If you want those use the 'Other Sites' page to get to the appropriate site.

I will always try to give help and advice to any constituent with a problem, but I can't offer help to anyone who doesn't live in Walthamstow. The 'Help & Advice' page gives details of my advice surgeries.

Neil Gerrard Votes Against 42 Days Detention

I voted against the proposals to allow the detention without charge of terrorism suspects for up to 42 days. I do not believe that an extension beyond the current limit of 28 days is justified. Standing down
